Position description

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at °®¶¹´«Ã½app invites applications to teach the following course in Hispanic Studies during the Fall semester of the 2026-2027 academic year: 

SPAN 3101 - Advanced Spanish I [in person or online] 

This is a stipendiary (part-time) appointment under the Mount Allison Faculty Association’s Part-Time Collective Agreement. Successful applicants will have an M.A. or PhD in Hispanic Studies language education. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish is essential, as is experience teaching university-level Spanish language to non-native speakers. Preference will be given to candidates able to teach in-person on campus. 

The course involves three hours of class time per week and the anticipated class size of 10-15 students. The course description is available at:

  • A cover letter outlining relevant experience. 
  • A statement of teaching philosophy. 
  • Two letters of recommendation that comment on the applicant’s experience, sent directly by the referees.
